L-Arabinose, also known as Gum Aldose or Pectin Sugar, is a pentose with the chemical formula C5H10O5. It is rarely found in nature as a monosaccharide but usually exists in combination with other sugars as a component of polysaccharides in gums, hemicellulose, pectic acid, bacterial polysaccharides, and some glycosides. L-Arabinose has high thermal and acid stability.

Production Process
L-Arabinose is produced from corn cobs, corn husks, and other grass family plant fibers through a process of dilute acid hydrolysis, decolorization, deacidification, biological fermentation, separation and purification, crystallization, and drying, resulting in a white crystalline powder.
