Product Description

Mogroside is the sweet component of the Luo Han Guo fruit. Also known as Luo Han Guo Sweetener or Luo Han Guo Glycoside, it is highly concentrated in the plant and has good water solubility. Products with a purity of over 98% are used as food additives.

Light yellow powder with a Luo Han Guo aroma, extremely sweet, about 240 times sweeter than sugar, with a melting point of 197–201°C (decomposition). It has strong heat stability and is easily soluble in water and dilute ethanol.

Mogroside V is the component with the highest content and sweetness in the Luo Han Guo fruit, being approximately 300 times sweeter than sugar. It is a low-calorie, non-nutritive, non-fermentable sweetener and is the main sweetening component.

Production Process

Fresh, ripe Luo Han Guo is extracted three times with purified water. The resulting pure filtrate is obtained after combined filtration with a horizontal centrifuge and a disc centrifuge. After purification with adsorption resin, a high-content mogroside V5 is obtained.

At different stages of this process, various products can be obtained, including Luo Han Guo fruit powder, Luo Han Guo concentrate, Luo Han Guo flavor juice, and mogroside.
